It's funny, if you mashed up Barcelona and Madrid players, you could almost produce a full-blown, high-scoring team. In contrast, I'm sure the stats for Lithuanian players in the EPL and La Liga would be most underwhelming. In fact, I can only think of Marius "Stanke" Stankevicius in La Liga, and his last appearance for Valencia resulted in a red card. The Czech Republic fares a little better on paper, with at least Petr Cech among its ranks. (I'm not sure Tomas Rosicky and Roman Bednar make the grade.)

ReplyDeleteIt was pleasing to find Andoni Iraola is the highest scoring spanish defender at the moment. I thought Arbeloa would be doing better,
